KUDOS TO MY SITE

It's been a long time since i started blogging. I owe everything that i know to my dearest buddy LITO ALLANZA AND his wife ZEN. They though me how to become a good blogger and what blogging really is. I did my best to follow their instructions and i did spend many hours in the net how to work with my site. Everyday is a new day since i started to write. Then as day passes by my fellow buddy "tolits" gave me all the instructions that i may need to become a sucessful writer.

The great deal of it is when my buddy "tolits" informed me today that my website ranking is already 2/10. Yes! I owe a lot to Lito and Zen.

Playing DVD in MACINTOSH

The console Mac DVD-ROM drive will play DVDs as well as audio CDs.

If the Mac does not have an external eject button, either pressing and holding the F12 button or double clicking the Eject icon on the desktop will open the CD drive. After you insert a DVD and close the door, the DVD Player application will automatically launch and present you with a Viewer Window, but the DVD will not automatically start to play. Point to the Controls menu, drop down and select Start to play the video. To play the movie in full screen mode, double click on the Viewer Screen. To return to the smaller window double click on the screen again. To return to the desktop select Quit from the File menu.

If the DVD does not automatically play, double click on the DVD icon.

It is possible that the DVD player program can be open even if the player window and/or DVD controller are not visible. Look at the menu bar at the top of the screen after double clicking on the DVD icon. If it says DVD player at the top but you don't see the windows, click on the Window Menu and the top and click on 'Show Controller' and/or 'Show Viewer' as necessary. The Window menu can be used to make the controller disappear if you do not want it on the screen (or it will hide itself if the mouse is left still for a little while). Even with out the controller displayed, the DVD can be controlled from the Control menu on the menu bar. If the menu bar disappears in full screen mode, moving the mouse to the top of the screen should cause it to reappear.

Video but no audio? First check that the DVD Player's mute is not selected. Click on the Controls Menu and click mute. At the top of the viewer it will say 'Mute On' or 'Mute Off'. Make sure that 'Mute Off' is chosen. If that doesn't work, make sure the volume on the Mac is not turned all the way down.

Finally, select the volume control button on the touch screen and make sure the volume is not muted or turned all the way down.

Importing movie from Video Camera to Vista Computer

This guide will show you how to connect a video camera to your Windows Vista PC and save your movies in a digital format. As you will see for yourself it is a simple procedure. Just follow these steps:
1. Connect your video camera to the power supply and then connect it to your PC using a Firewire or USB cable. If you have a choice, we recommend using a Firewire cable because the transfer rate is better.
2. Turn on the camera and wait for Windows Vista to detect and install the appropriate drivers.

3. Don't forget to rewind the videotape to the beginning of the movie you want to save on your computer. From the "Autoplay" menu select "Import Video".

4. Now you have to enter the name, the import folder and the format of your movie. We recommend using AVI (single file) since it offers very good quality output for movies. Once you have finished entering all these details, click "Next".

5. Windows Vista will ask if you want to import the whole videotape or just parts of it. Choose the option that you prefer: "Import the entire videotape...", "Import the entire videotape and then burn it to a DVD" or "Import parts of the videotape...".

6. If you select the first or the second option, click "Next" and the transfer will start.
If you select the third option, after you click "Next" you will have to click the "Play" button. Windows Vista will start to import the movie until you hit the "Stop" button. If you want to record another part of the movie, rewind the tape to the starting point of that part and click the "Play" button again.

7. After the importing process is completed, you can see your movie by opening Windows Photo Gallery and selecting "Videos" from the left menu.

That's it. You should have all your movies listed on the right, just like in the above image. If in the previous menu you selected the second option ("Import the entire videotape and then burn it to a DVD") the burning process will start automatically.

Using Your Camcorder as a Webcam Part II ( Using a FireWire Connection)

The most common feature among Mini DV cameras is the port which you use to attach to your computer, known as a DV port (digital video) and by many other names, such as "I. Link", "FireWire" and "IEEE1394", all referring to the same technology. When you connect your camcorder to your computer, you are using this FireWire connection to stream the video and audio signals onto your hard drive. This is done by use of a Windows technology known as WDM ("Windows Driver Model"). WDM is a relatively new system meant to replace VFW ("Video for Windows"), the previous standard for importing and converting video from one source to the computer.

Unfortunately, most webcams and webcam programs need VFW to work, and FireWire uses WDM, not VFW. Windows has in its programming a facility to translate a VFW program to output WDM, but not vice versa, so when you start your webcam program, it will not recognize your miniDV camcorder, connected by FireWire.

So how can you make it work? Get an analog video capture card, examples are Matrox eTV G450, or an ATI Radeon with video capture, or Hauppage WinTV. All these cards are using VFW device to capture video and should be recognized in webcam software. Always remember that this analog video capture cards are not allowed to be advised to the customer however just remind them to look for an Analog Video Capture Card so that they can use FireWire Connection.

Importance of minimum number of Megapixels

The Medium

How and where pictures are shown determines the minimum number of megapixels needed from a digital camera. The resolution chosen is very important:

  • Not enough megapixels means your pictures will appear unsharp or blurry.
  • Too many megapixels means you will spend more for your camera and its memory.
  • Frequently cameras with more megapixels produce images which are more noisy.

Can we use HDMI Cable in video transferring?

Yes we can use HDMI Cable in video transferring. The function of HDMI Cable in video transferring is the same as transferring of video using an I. Link or FireWire cable.

So what is HDMI?

HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface.

Advantages of using HDMI Cable

The first and only industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface delivering crystal-clear, all-digital audio and video via a single cable and provide consumers with the highest-quality home theater experience.

It provides the best quality of the video since there are no lossy analog to digital conversions as are required for all analog connections (such as component or S-video).

HDMI maintains the audio in its pure digital form all the way to the amplifier.
