Playing Videos in MACINTOSH

All of us are confused why videos are not working in apple softwares. Most of us are asking why microsoft softwares can play most of the videos but apple software doesnt. We should all know that in playing movies or videos in a player , we should consider the FILE FORMAT. File format is the most important thing in a video and it signifies the video format where to play it. All video player software has its own file format that is beeing supported. So we should know whether the video format is .AVI, MPEG, MPEG4, etc. If the player is not working on a certain video, look for compatible plugin or codec.

Note: Imovie will not play MPEG video file format not unless they will use QuickTime player.
