Do not be confused on Memory Stick PRO media. A Memory Stick PRO supports parallel transfer to enable simultaneous transmission or reception of multiple data. In the parallel mode, data is transferred at speeds up to 160Mbps (and that is the theoretical value), making it possible to record DVD-quality moving images in real time when used in a product that supports parallel transfer. A High-speed Memory Stick PRO media may not be marked on the Memory Stick as being high-speed. Early Memory Stick PRO media indicated that it was high speed on the Memory Stick. Currently, all Memory Stick PRO media that are solid black in color are high-speed.
