Follow this procedure to change the computer description in the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.
1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window, click System and Maintenance.
3. In the System and Maintenance window, click System.
4. In the System window, under Tasks, click Advanced system settings.
NOTE: If prompted for an administrator password or a User Account Control prompt is displayed, type the appropriate password or click Continue.
5. In the System Properties window, click the Computer Name tab.
6. On the Computer Name tab, in the Computer description box, enter a description for the computer.
7. In the System Properties window, click the OK button.
