How to transfer video to an Apple Macintosh computer using MICROMV camcorder?

In transferring video from a MICROMV camcorder to an Apple Macintosh computer, the computer must be running the Mac OS X operating system. In addition to this, the DVHSCap or AVCVideoCap application will need to be used; these applications are part of the FireWire SDK 23 for Mac OS X Development Tool, which is available for download from the Apple Developer Connection Web site at https://connect.apple.com/.

Since apple has Movie player, Movie player applications must support MPEG-2 playback to open and play the recorded video files properly. Refer to the software
manufacturer of your movie player application for additional information and any available updates. Since MPEG1 and MPEG2 is not supported by quicktime, you should
download a file converter and a plug in.
